Yoga Class Video:
Feet and Grounding Awareness
When your feet are tense or tired, it can quietly sap your confidence, unsettle your balance and make every step feel like more effort than it should. This class helps you treat your feet with smart, soothing care, so you feel more grounded, steady and at ease in your body throughout the day.
.
Massage, mindful movement and standing exploration to build stronger foundations.
Our feet are our foundation, yet they’re often the part of the body we pay the least attention to. This gentle, exploratory practice begins with a nourishing self-massage to awaken tired feet, improve circulation and release tension through the soles, toes and arches. As your feet soften and come alive, you’ll begin to feel a greater sense of connection with the ground beneath you.
From there, we explore how the feet support the whole body. Through mindful movement, you’ll discover the tripod of the foot – the heel, the base of the big toe and the base of the little toe – and experience how subtle changes in the way your feet meet the floor can influence balance, stability and ease throughout your legs, pelvis and spine.
Working through accessible floor-based and standing movements, you’ll investigate how grounding through the feet changes the experience of familiar movements before exploring standing balance and weight transfer with greater confidence and awareness.
Whether your feet feel tired and overworked, you’re looking to improve balance, or you’re simply curious about how better foot awareness can transform the way you move, this class offers practical tools that you can return to again and again. You’ll finish feeling more grounded, supported and connected – from the ground up.
