Somatic Yoga + Yoga Nidra Video:
Camping in Golden Summer Fields

You know that feeling at the end of a long week when you just want to slip out of your life for a while and listen to the rain from somewhere safe and quiet. This practice gives you that kind of evening, wrapping you in the warmth of late summer fields and the soft hush of the sea so you can let your body settle, your thoughts thin out and your system exhale.

.

A deeply restful Yoga Nidra inspired by the changing light, warmth and weather of late summer.

Begin with gentle, exploratory movement to ease out of the week and bring your attention into your body. Slowly moving between movement and stillness, you’ll have time to notice the support of the ground, the movement of your spine and the rhythm of your breath.

Then settle into Yoga Nidra and a journey into the landscape of a late summer camping trip. Imagine yourself sheltered in a tent beside the coast as the first rain arrives after a long, dry summer. Listen to the rain falling on the canvas, notice the changing landscape around you and allow yourself to be carried into a quieter, more spacious state.

This is a practice for letting go of effort and simply being held by the experience. You can follow the imagery, drift in and out of awareness, or simply listen to the sound of Catherine’s voice.

A lovely practice for the end of a busy week, when you need to slow down, settle your nervous system and make space for deep rest.

Suitable for all levels, including those who are new to Yoga Nidra. You’ll need somewhere comfortable to lie down, with blankets and any other props that help you feel supported.
