Somatic Yoga + Yoga Nidra Video:
Held by the Sea

This Somatic Yoga and Yoga Nidra practice is designed to gently unravel tension from the inside out, helping you move more freely, breathe more fully and settle into deep, restorative rest.

We begin on the floor with subtle, soothing somatic movements that invite your body to settle and be supported by the ground. Through sensitive rocking and rolling of the pelvis and spine, quiet explorations of the hips, shoulders and neck, and an awareness of how weight travels through the body, you’ll gradually soften patterns of holding, inviting greater spaciousness and comfort in the body.  The pace is slow and unhurried, allowing your nervous system to settle and your breathing space to deepen.

Rather than focusing on performance or perfect shapes, this practice invites you to sense from the inside – noticing how your spine becomes more fluid, where movement feels easier, and how your body can reorganise itself with less effort and more support.

From this grounded place, we move into a spacious Yoga Nidra: a guided practice of conscious rest in the delicious, liminal space between waking and sleep. Inspired by the sensory experience of sea, sun and water, you’ll be invited to drift into a deeply restorative, dreamlike state where the thinking mind softens and deeper rest becomes possible.

This is a practice for softening, settling and being held – ideal when you feel tired, physically tight, overstimulated or simply in need of rest.
