A stunning Dorset yoga retreat

Dorset Yoga Retreat
Venue

Bonhays is a beautiful eco-retreat centre, nestled in the hills of West Dorset, between Bridport and Lyme Regis and just two miles from the sea. The setting is secluded and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Set around a central courtyard with the soft curves of the straw buildings and the hills beyond, there is quiet and stillness here. Bonhays has lovely communal areas to relax and chat in as well as many peaceful and secluded spots for quiet and reflection. There is also an indoor heated swimming pool.

The coast and beaches are just two miles away if you want to get a dose of sea air and enjoy a beach walk or you may simply want to enjoy a peaceful moment on the decking and watch the sunset, swim peacefully in the pool, share wonderful meals in the conservatory, practice yoga and meditation; be and rejuvenate.

Things to do

There will be plenty of free time between yoga classes to simply relax at Bonhays, take a swim in the heated indoor pool or head out and explore this beautiful corner of West Dorset.

The coast is just two miles away, with wonderful walks along the Jurassic Coast and South West Coast Path. Nearby Bridport is a lively market town with independent shops, cafés and restaurants, while West Bay is a lovely spot for a walk along the beach or around the harbour.

You could also venture a little further to Lyme Regis, explore the surrounding countryside or book a massage at Bonhays. Or simply stay put, find a peaceful spot in the garden and enjoy having nowhere else to be.

Testimonials

Kamina

This was my first yoga retreat and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction! Catherine’s teaching was rich, clear and considered. I really appreciated working at a slower pace and have come away with a far greater body awareness, particularly in relation to my spine and diaphragm. Bonhays was a beautiful venue and staying in their shepherd’s hut was the icing on the cake.

Sasha

The retreat at Bonhays with Catherine was wonderful! I found it restorative and inspiring - Catherine was an amazing facilitator! Catherine had an open approach, asking lots of questions and involving us all. She guided and stimulated us all. I think after these few days I will think more about my practice and my body. Catherine was also warm and friendly and had a great sense of humour.

Janet

Bonhays is a beautiful and peaceful location for a weekend retreat. It's always good to work with Catherine and immerse myself in her mindful, eloquent and unique approach to yoga. The group provided great company, Eva prepared some delicious food and Amanda's massage was unforgettable. The benefits of this weekend still linger....
