Venue
Set in 42 acres of private land, this beautiful Somerset yoga retreat space is encircled by seven hundred acres of ancient forest. Sustainability and comfort are at the forefront of the 42 acres vision, with reclaimed materials used to outfit the interiors of the property, plus all of the power is renewable and self generated through biomass and solar.
42 Acres is surrounded by 700 further acres of ancient forest. Its ethos centres around sustainability, working with reclaimed materials and renewable energy to create an experience that is both joyful and luxurious. In the main house, skylights, original exposed beams and stand-alone baths await in guest bedrooms decorated with beautifully sourced tiles, fabrics and linens. Communal areas such as the library, the snug and the reading space evoke a stylish, eclectic and cosy ambience. Most recently, a magnificent 30ft yurt has been erected, and this plays host to many of the yoga classes. Beyond the main house are the quaintly named Deer Cottages, possibly in honour of their namesakes, which pass by peacefully from time to time.
Accommodation options range from dormitories to the master-suite, twin, double and single occupancy rooms. The main house offers the deluxe mini-dorm, master suite and twin shared bathroom rooms and single en-suite rooms. Set just a few steps away from the main house, Deer Cottages are all en-suite rooms offering twin, double and single occupancy options. Swallows Barn houses six single occupancy deluxe rooms with shared bathroom facilities. All rooms have luxury linen and towels. The venue has several communal spaces for relaxing including a welcoming kitchen with cosy chairs by the fire, a library and a reading space.
Food
Delicious local, organic food will be served throughout the retreat. All meals will be vegetarian.
Dietary Restrictions and Allergies
It is essential that you inform Catherine of any dietary restrictions when you book so that she can liaise with the retreat venue and make the necessary arrangements.
If, for medical reasons, you follow a highly-restricted diet, we advise you to bring with you any essentials you might need for your well-being. We have our own dedicated kitchen, with a small fridge which you are welcome to use.
If you are prone to a severe reaction to an allergen, for example, a very small amount on a kitchen knife or board, it is essential that we be informed. Please note that we are unable to offer absolute guarantees for such allergic conditions.
