Yoga Teacher Mentoring Course

The experience of a teacher training course is so intensely immersive that the reality of graduating and setting up our own classes can feel isolating and overwhelming.  It can be challenging to know where to go for advice and without the group support we may feel unsure about how to deal with a multitude of questions, including tricky teaching situations or how to sustain our energy.

Over the years, I’ve found my relationship with more established yoga teachers invaluable.  They have generously shared advice, thoughts and suggestions to help me develop my teaching and practice.

Now I’ve created a new mentoring course which offers practical advice,  emotional support, suggestions for developing your teaching and insights about practice and people.

Join this yoga teacher training mentoring course to:

* Explore how to translate your personal practice into imaginative and authentic teaching plans

* Unpick the importance and value of choosing words and language with care

* Explore how to work with common injuries and issues in an open class situation

* Discuss best practice when using touch and adjustments

* Understand the value of setting and upholding boundaries

* Managing groups and individuals

* Value your time and skill so you can confidently earn your worth

* Learn how to create an ethical and sustainable yoga business

Each week, we’ll explore specific topics designed to support you in creating safe, creative spaces for your students and developing your teaching and practice skills, so that you feel nurtured and enriched throughout your yoga journey.

Yoga Teacher, Mentoring Course, Catherine Annis Yoga, Online, Scaravelli

About Catherine Annis

Originally a professional dancer, Catherine discovered yoga as a teenager, and has been practicing since the mid 1970s.  Having studied various styles of yoga including Sivananda, Iyengar, Astanga and various forms of Hatha yoga, she eventually gravitated to the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.

Catherine’s daily yoga practice and teaching focuses on deepening physical awareness and alignment to reveal and release the natural freedom of the body, particularly the spine.  She holds a Masters degree in ballet studies, and is a qualified Thai massage practitioner, and it is this interest in the body which informs and inspires her teaching.

Catherine is well known for her imaginative and practical approach to yoga and is well respected in the yoga community.

Catherine was lead teacher on the triyoga teacher training course in London for many years. During this time she identified a need for a more modern and anatomically focused teacher training approach and created the Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training Course (iytt) in 2017.  Guest teachers on the course include Gary Carter, well known for his fresh and inspiring approach to anatomy and his depth of knowledge and experience in the world of fascia.  The course is deliberately provocative, requiring trainees to delve into their motivation and practice to answer the key question “what is it that we’re doing in yoga, and why are we practicing?”
