Scaravelli Inspired Yoga Intensive
What are we really doing in yoga?
How does it nourish us?
And how do we translate our felt sense into an accessible class structure?
If you’ve ever pondered any of these questions, then join us for the Immersion course and enjoy a deep dive into our yoga practice and teaching.
Together, we’ll look at how our practice evolves and connects as we explore our felt sense and the role our bodies play in becoming more physically and psychologically integrated.
During this course you will:
∗ Deepen your knowledge of anatomy and structural relationships
∗ Explore fascia and biotensegrity and how they effect us in yoga
∗ Discover why we need the opposing forces of compression and tension and how they work together to create harmony
∗ Develop approaches to unwind the fascial web
∗ Develop fresh subtle approaches to adjusting / assisting your students
∗ Refresh and reinvigorate your own personal practice and teaching
∗ Have fun!
Suitable for teachers, trainee teachers and serious students who would like to unpick their yoga and delve into their practice and teaching.
White Horse Yoga Centre in Wiltshire is one of only a handful of purpose built yoga studios in the county.
Situated just below the millennium chalk white horse on Roundway Hill in Devizes the Centre benefits from an 80 square metre studio with under floor heating and wooden floor. Windows overlook a sunny southern aspect yoga garden with fields, horses and stables beyond.
The Centre has its own free parking.
There is a kitchen area available for making hot drinks, and a small fridge. As the studio is some distance from local shops and amenities, please bring your own lunch and any snacks you may need during each day.
The market town of Devizes may be small, but packs more than 500 listed buildings.
Any visit has to begin with the large, crescent-shaped Market Place, still hosting an outdoor market on Thursdays.
You can stand here and look up towards Wadworth’s Victorian tower brewery, and down to the Neoclassical town hall, completed in 1808. There isn’t a modern building to be found among the Georgian townhouses, inns and civic buildings at this magnificent square.
Devizes has a layer of Medieval history to be uncovered on a town trail, while Wiltshire’s abundant Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age history is revealed at the county museum.
Into the industrial era, Devizes is on the Kennet and Avon Canal, close to a majestic flight of 29 locks at Caen Hill.
Follow London Road towards Swindon. At the roundabout with B&Q on the right, turn left onto Hopton Industrial Estate. Bear sharp right (Carpet Warehouse on right) and follow the road. As you pass WTTL on your left, turn left (signed Roundway Hill Business Centre). Turn left at Wiltshire Concrete and follow the road as it goes out past the White Horse. As you approach Roundway Hill Business Centre look to your left. White Horse Yoga Centre is part of the long new building. Turn towards the building and parking is at the front.
As you approach Devizes turn right onto Hopton Industrial Estate. At T- junction turn left (signed Household Recycling Centre). Follow the road. Almost immediately after the Household Recycling Centre turn right (signed Roundway Hill Business Centre). Turn left at Wiltshire Concrete and follow the road as it goes out past the White Horse.
